1. Sharing our Stories: Real Families Discuss HP – Susan

By Deborah Landowne, CCH, California HP Supervisor.

Homeoprophylaxis, aka: HP, is a a way to educate the immune system toward the infectious disease process. Free and Healthy Children International (FHCi) offers a 44 month program using homeopathic remedies called “nosodes” to stimulate and educate the immune system toward the infectious disease process.  Nosodes are made from pure disease agents only, no adjuvants, growth mediums or preservatives.

We often get asked by parents seeking out HP: Is there a way to connect with other families who have experience with the program? Prospective parents, and also those whose children are already enrolled, want to know: What is this going to be like?  As HP Supervisors, we can describe the program and what to expect, but it is always better to hear from your peers.

Six parents have graciously taken the time to speak with FHCi and share their experiences to help the community. All names have been changed for this post.

We hope these stories inspire you.

“I researched vaccines and wanted to do a delayed schedule, but the more I researched I didn’t feel comfortable with that. I wanted alternatives and wanted to do something.  I was not comfortable doing nothing.

“A friend told me about HP and FHCi.  After she told me about HP I read about it online. I watched Kate Birch’s YouTube posts and Jackie Krammer’s presentation, those were very helpful. I have passed these links along to others, because they are helpful for people trying to make a decision.  It is hard to find information that is not overly dramatized or uses scare tactics. I think Kate and Jackie were scientific and not dramatic.

“My first child is almost 2 now; we started the program in 2016.  We had to take a break for a few months because she was getting sick a lot in childcare.  Our HP Supervisor said she needed some Constitutional Homeopathy to straighten out her immune system, so we took a break from HP for about 6 months.

“The program has been easy to follow. At first, I had lots of questions, because I had never used homeopathy before. I had questions about dosing, but it has been easy.

“My daughter had a response to one nosode, but we are only part way through the program so far. I didn’t know it was a response because some time had passed after the dose.  But our HP Supervisor knew, because a few months later was when she started getting sick.  So now we give that same nosode from time to time in other parts of her treatment.  She has had some response with other doses, like cold symptoms.

“I would love to have this program accepted alongside vaccine exemptions for school.  HP is not harmful and not expensive.”

FHCi Comment: It is normal to get a response with an HP dose. Those responses that are prolonged demonstrate that the child is working through a susceptibility to this disease  and trying to find balance. Subsequent dosing may be needed with the same nosode to help the child come to balance in that relationship. Working with an HP Supervisor helps to sort this out and set the appropriate dosing or treatment plan.
